CODE UPDATE: Significant Code Changes to the 2009 International Residential Code

A modification to soil tests (Section R 401.4) has been made to the 2009 International Residential Code® (IRC). The revised text defines the necessary criteria for requiring a soil test in more objective terms based on available scientific data.
