City dedicates Building Safety Month to longtime inspector The city of Tupelo, Miss., has dedicated its 2015 Building Safety Month observance in honor of longtime Chief Building Inspector David Wammack, who passed away March 9 at his home. He was 58. Wammack worked with the city of Tupelo for 23-plus years and also was a member of the downtown design committee. Because of his duties with the city’s Development Services Department, Wammack played an important role in Tupelo’s economic development, according to City Councilman Lynn Bryan. “He was just a great guy that would always go out of his way to help you,” he said.
